We’ve always been very interested in the way evaluation information is presented. In our view, part of the work involved in creating Usable Knowledge is figuring out how to disseminate what we find to the stakeholders who can act on it. We’ve done all kinds of different things in this area, from brochure reports to online Flash presentations featuring audio quotations from interview or focus group participants. We recently came upon a really cool site called ’10 Tactics’, subtitled ‘turning information into action. 10 Tactics is a project of the Tactical Technology Collective, a UK based group that helps human rights groups use information, communications and digital technologies to maximize the impact of their work. The 10 Tactics website is geared more to communication than presentation and some of the tactics they talk about may not be entirely relevant to communicating evaluation information. But many are.
